E-learning Age Taste of Medicine has scooped another award at this year's prestigious e-learning age awards in the category: 'Excellence in the production of learning content - not for profit sector'. This time, the full Taste of Medicine suite of e-learning modules was submitted, building on the success of the Getting Started module in 2009. The four modules cover the journey from considering healthcare as a career at pre GCSE level, right through to starting at University. The judges commented: "For those who dream of being doctors, it's stimulating, informative and fun".

Learning on Screen logoTaste of Medicine, "Scrubbing Up"module wins Learning on Screen Award, in the category "Courseware and Curriculum Award (Multimedia)". Organised by the British Universities Film & Video Council, this Award sees entries from a range of film and TV production companies, so St George's were particularly proud to be recognised at such a high profile event.

A Taste of Medicine wins E-learning Age Award 2009

E-Learning Awards 2009 - WinnerA Taste of Medicine has scooped a Gold award for our client, St George's University of London in the category “Excellence in the production of learning content – not for profit sector” The judges commented that "It provides transparent and appropriate information, advice and guidance in a format that is appealing and accessible to its target audience. The judges liked the demonstration of shifts in learner attitudes and data linked to original goals. Anecdotal evidence from stakeholders was particularly powerful."

WYTAP wins Best Information website

Yorkshire Forward logoWYTAP was an online directory of 25,000 courses in West Yorkshire, updated in real-time by the West Yorkshire Training Access Point (WYTAP) team. WYTAP has now been replaced by the Train to Gain website for Yorkshire and the Humber.

'A Taste of Medicine CD-ROM' wins Heist award for Widening Participation Campaign

GMSA logoSt Georges Hospital Medical School required an innovative way to communicate the wide range of career opportunities in the health professions, to pre GCSE pupils. Our CD-ROM, combined animation, video, interactive quizzes and games to convey the messages and guide pupils on an appropriate GCSE subject choices. This is our second Heist award winning CD-ROM.
