Knowsley KMBC - Go 2 Work
Interactive company visits to support vocational GCSEs.
Real-life workplace visits for groups of pupils are increasingly difficult to arrange. This prompted Knowsley and Oldham MBCs to create a number of 'virtual' company visits in multimedia format. The e-learning materials are designed to support vocational subjects at GCSE level without the need for a real-life visit.
Interactive Solutions were selected to produce the materials, based on our track-record of developing e-learning content for vocational GCSEs.
To date, we have produced virtual visits to Leyland Trucks, Park Cakes bakery and one based on our own business in Huddersfield.

Client:
Knowsley MBC have pioneered the use of e-learning and learning technologies in their schools. They were one of the first Pathfinder funded LEAs and are now leading the way with the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme. Their three City Learning Centres have been proactive in developing materials to support new vocational qualifications and we have supported them extensively in this task.
