Revision tips and exam support by SMS for pupils in Knowsley LEA.

BuzzTXT was a project to support GCSE pupils during the run up to exams, with revision and exam tips, weird facts and quiz questions broadcast to their mobile phones as text messages. Pupils could subscribe to the service from their mobile phones by texting a keyword to the service number. Incoming messages were free to pupils. Pupils were also able to text in questions for Learning Mentors, if they needed any counseling or support during this stressful period. Mentors would also respond by text initially. The entire service was operated from our web-based SMS Messaging Centre.
