Wan2Lrn was our first educational text messaging project aimed at improving GCSE exam performance. Pupils subscribed to receive a text message soap opera based around the lives of three pre-GCSE teenagers living in the North West. The story addressed teenage issues in the stressful exam countdown period. The text messages signposted the KnowitAll website which has comprehensive exam and revision tips (which we also developed). Over 800 pupils subscribed to the project. The entire service was operated from our web-based SMS Messaging Centre.
