The website was developed to parallel an expedition to a remote part of the Brazilian rainforest by three teachers. Content for the website was emailed to Interactive Solutions to enable frequent updates to the site during the course of the expedition. A sister project - JungleTXT enabled pupils to receive text message updates from the explorers direct to their mobile phones. The projects were designed as an out-of-school activity (over the summer holidays), with cross curriculum learning objectives.
